Pricing

8 questions

How does velobook pricing work?

Every feature included. Pay by the booking: an Australian dollar each, priced locally elsewhere so it's 70c in the US, 50p in the UK, 60c in the Eurozone, and a dollar in New Zealand and Canada. Billed monthly via Stripe. Every market has a monthly cap set so the crossover is the same 100 bookings: A$100, US$70, £50, €60, C$100, NZ$100. After 100 bookings in a month, the rest are on us. No tiers, no per-seat charges, no pro tier gating anything. The only thing charged apart from bookings is optional text messaging, if you switch it on.

What counts as a confirmed booking?

A booking is confirmed the moment a customer completes the booking flow on your velobook link. Every type counts the same: a repair drop-off, a workshop signup, a rental, a tour departure and a bike fitting are each one booking. Cancel before the appointment and it's credited back on your next bill. (The one exception is shops billed through Shopify, because Shopify's billing API won't accept a credit.) No-shows count as confirmed because the slot was held.

Are there any other fees?

Only text messaging, and only if you switch it on. Booking stays a dollar each (priced locally: 70c in the US, 50p in the UK, 60c in the Eurozone), capped at 100 bookings a month whatever your currency, free during the 30-day trial, and email reminders are always included. Two-way text messaging is an optional, prepaid extra: you load funds in advance, and pricing depends on your market and the type of message, so the exact rates show in your Communications settings (and we're happy to walk you through them). That's it. Customer payments, in shop or as an optional deposit at booking, go straight to you and we don't touch them.

What if my shop is much busier than 100 bookings a month?

For almost every shop the cap is the whole story: past 100 bookings in a month, the rest are on us, however busy the season gets. The one exception is genuinely high volume. If you're consistently taking more than about 2,000 confirmed bookings a month you're well past what a single-shop plan was built for, so we'll get in touch and agree terms that suit, with at least 90 days' notice before anything about your pricing changes. That's a conversation, not a switch we flip, and it's far beyond where most shops ever land.

Do Beta features cost extra?

No. Features labelled Beta, currently Catalogue Copilot, the Bike Builder, the Wheel Builder, Events and the daily printing bridge, are included at no extra charge while they're in beta.

Is there a free trial?

Yes. 30 days free from the moment you sign up. Bookings still come through and the booker works exactly the same, they just don't get billed during the trial. There's no card at signup: adding a payment method is the last step of onboarding, and you can skip it and come back later, though you'll need one on file before your booking page goes live. Cancel any time inside the 30 days and you won't be charged a cent.

How do I cancel?

Hit Open Billing Portal from the admin and cancel from Stripe's portal. Or email alex@velobook.app and we'll handle it. No lock-in contract, no retention call, no exit interview. We mean it.

Will pricing change?

We've built velobook to be sustainable for us and for you. If our costs rise significantly, the price may need to rise too, but we'll always give you plenty of notice and consult on where we land. Concretely: 90 days' notice in writing before any change takes effect, and existing shops stay locked in at the rate they signed up on for that notice period.

Setup and onboarding

6 questions

How long does setup take?

An afternoon. You enter your services, your hours, your reminder copy, and a couple of colours. velobook generates the booking link and you paste it in your Instagram bio, on Google Maps, and on your website.

What do I need to enter on day one?

Your shop name, your weekly hours (which days are open, and a couple of drop-off time slots per day), three or four services with prices and rough durations, and your email for booking notifications. That's enough to take real bookings.

Can I import my existing customers and calendar?

Both, and both are self-serve. For customers: upload a CSV under Integrations, map your columns to ours, check the preview, then import. There are presets for Lightspeed R-Series and X-Series exports, a dry run before anything is written, and an undo if it goes wrong. For calendars: connect Google Calendar or Microsoft 365 and Outlook, and velobook keeps a dedicated bookings calendar up to date for you. Apple Calendar and anything else can subscribe to your shop's read-only iCal feed.

Do I need to be technical?

No. If you can write a service description and a price, you can run velobook. If you get stuck, email us and a real person walks you through it.

Can I put the booker on my own website?

Yes. Integrations has a Website embed tab with a copy-paste snippet for each thing you offer (services, rentals, workshops, tours, fittings, plans, community days), plus one combined snippet if you'd rather have the lot on one page. Paste it in and the frame resizes itself as the customer moves through the steps, so nothing gets cut off and there's no scrollbar-in-a-scrollbar. Only the surfaces you actually run are offered.

Can I trial it on a quiet day before going live?

Yes. Until you publish your link, the shop isn't reachable by anyone except you. You can do a dry run with your own email and a fake bike, then delete it before you go live.

Services and pricing

9 questions

How many services can I add?

No cap. Most shops run between 3 and 12 services (tune-up, flat fix, brake bleed, full overhaul, and so on). Each service has a name, a price, a duration, an optional blurb, and an optional rush surcharge.

Can prices be "from $X"?

Yes. Each service has a "price is a starting point" toggle. When it's on, the booker shows "from $80" instead of "$80" and the customer knows the final price depends on the work.

What are add-ons?

Optional extras a customer can tack on to a service. New brake pads, a parts bag, a quick clean. Each add-on has its own price and (optional) extra minutes. Useful when a service has a few common upsells you don't want to fold into the base price.

What's a rush surcharge?

An optional loading a customer can opt into for a 24-hour turnaround. It defaults to 25% on the service and add-ons, but you set the rate per shop under Billing settings, down to zero if you'd rather not charge for speed. Never automatic: the customer chooses it at booking.

Can I charge more to service e-bikes?

Yes. Set a flat e-bike surcharge under Integrations, in Payments and POS, and it's added automatically whenever a customer says their bike is an e-bike at booking. There's nothing for them to tick and nothing for you to adjust by hand. Because an e-bike is extra labour, choosing rush lifts the surcharge along with the rest of the job, and the amount is frozen onto each booking so changing your rate later never re-prices past work. Leave it at zero to charge e-bikes the same as anything else.

Can I hide a service without deleting it?

Yes. Each service has a "hidden" flag. Hidden services don't appear on the booker but stay in history so old bookings keep their labels.

Can different staff have different prices?

Not yet. Services have one price for the shop. Per-staff pricing is on the roadmap; until then most shops handle it by adding a separate service (e.g. "Senior tech tune-up") with a different price.

Can I offer bike fittings?

Yes. Fittings are their own booking type, with tiers, an intake questionnaire the customer fills in before they arrive, and a fitter assigned to the slot. You can send a fit report as a PDF after the session.

Can I sell prepaid service plans?

Yes. Bundle a set of credits a customer buys up front (a season's worth of services, say) and they redeem it against future bookings. Handy for regulars and for smoothing your cash flow.

Hours, time slots, and closures

7 questions

How do I set my hours?

Booking hours, under Admin. Your week is one table: each row is a time slot with a name ("Morning") and a start and end time (09:00 to 12:00), and the columns are Monday through Sunday. Fill in a cell to say how many jobs that slot takes on that day, and leave it empty for a day the slot doesn't run. A slot that runs all week is one row, not five, and there's a one-tap action to copy Monday across the working week.

What's a time slot capacity?

How many jobs you can accept dropped off in that slot. A Morning slot with capacity 4 means 4 customers can pick it before it's marked Full on the booker. Capacity lives in the cell, so the same slot can take 4 on Tuesday and 2 on Saturday. Bigger benches mean bigger capacities.

Do I have to count jobs per slot, or can I fill a day by time?

Your choice. By default velobook fills a day by counting jobs: each slot holds a set number, whether that's a puncture or an all-day rebuild. On the Booking hours page you can switch to "Fit within opening hours", which counts time instead: each service's duration is added up against the hours you're open that day, so a day of long jobs fills sooner than a day of quick ones. In time mode capacity follows your roster automatically, so a day's open hours times the mechanics working that day sets the bench, and a mechanic taking the day off lowers it. It's opt-in; counting jobs stays the default.

Can I have different hours on different weeks?

Yes. Date overrides let you change the time slots for a single date (a public holiday with shorter hours, a Sunday you're opening specially). Closure periods let you mark a range of dates fully closed (a holiday week, a renovation).

Can I take a day off at short notice?

Yes. Add a Day off (single date) or a Closure period (range). Existing confirmed bookings for those dates stay in place; the booker just stops accepting new ones.

How far ahead can customers book?

Your call. Out of the box there's no limit, but under Shop profile you can set a booking horizon: either a rolling window that moves forward each day (a fortnight, a month, three, six, twelve), or a fixed last-bookable date, which is the one you want if you're winding down for a season or moving premises. It's read in your shop's timezone and enforced on the server, not just greyed out on the calendar. Dates you schedule yourself, clinic sessions and tour and workshop departures, aren't affected.

What timezone runs the shop?

Set in Settings. Default is Australia/Sydney. Picking the right one matters for reminder timing and the past-date gate on the booker.

Workshops, tours and rentals

7 questions

Do you do group workshops?

Yes. The workshops tab is for fixed-time group sessions: a workshop title, a list of dates and times, a capacity per session, and a price per attendee. The customer signs up multiple people in one go. Group capacity and waitlist are built in.

Can I run guided rides or tours?

Yes. Tours have scheduled departures, a capacity per departure, and a hire-bike option: none, offered as an add-on, or included. When a hire bike is part of the tour it holds real rental stock, so you never double-book a bike you've already promised to a rider. Waitlists are built in.

Can I rent gear through velobook?

Yes, and rentals go well beyond a simple day rate now. Each item has a name, quantity, an optional deposit, and rates for whichever hire modes you offer: full days, half-days (AM or PM), or by the hour. Customers pick their dates or times and the booker enforces availability per bike, per day, including same-day hires that go out and back on the one date if you allow them. You can add per-bike extras (helmets, locks, a child seat), set a turnaround buffer so a returned bike stays offline while it's checked over, and optionally ask for online payment up front. Each physical bike can carry a QR sticker your team scans to hand it out or take it back.

Does my shop say "hire" or "rent"?

Whichever your shop uses. There's a hire/rent toggle under Booking page, and the one choice re-words the whole customer rental flow, along with the rental emails and texts, to match. It defaults to "hire" (the usual word in Australia and the UK); shops that say "rent" flip it once.

Can I deliver rental bikes instead of shop pickup?

Yes. Turn on delivery in Rental settings, set your fee (free, a flat charge per area, or distance-based) and your delivery and collection windows, and customers choose shop pickup or delivery to their address at checkout. Velobook can plan the driver's day across deliveries, collections and mobile repairs as one optimised route.

Can I check ID at handover?

Optional. Turn on ID capture and staff sight a licence or passport when the bike goes out. Velobook stores only a masked record (last four characters), and it's purged automatically on a schedule. Off by default.

Can the shop turn workshops, tours or rentals off?

Yes. They're off by default. The booker's homepage will only show a category if there's at least one published item in it. A pure repair shop will never see the workshop, tour or rental flows in their booker.

Mobile and at-home service

2 questions

Can I offer mobile or at-home repairs?

Yes. Mark a service as mobile and draw where you'll travel: radius rings around your shop, or areas you sketch on a map, or a list of postcodes. Each area has its own working days and its own travel fee (free, a flat charge, or distance-based). Customers see a coverage map and their address is checked before they can book.

Can I run pop-up clinics or service days?

Yes. Set up designated locations and dates (a café, a co-op, a weekly market) where customers drop bikes to you instead of the shop. They pick the clinic and a window at booking, just like a normal drop-off.

Staff and the team

7 questions

How do I add staff?

Team tab. Add their name, email, a colour chip (so you can see them at a glance in Schedule), and optional skill tags. We send them an email invite automatically the moment they're added. They set their own password.

Can I assign bookings to specific staff?

Yes. After a booking comes in, the assign step lets you pick a staff member (or leave it unassigned). Velobook can auto-assign based on skill tags, working days, and a daily booking cap if you'd rather not do it by hand.

Can a service require specific staff?

Yes. On each service, pick which staff members are qualified for it ("wheels" qualified staff for a wheel build, say). Auto-assign respects that list. Leave it blank for "anyone qualified".

Do you charge per staff seat?

No. Add as many staff seats as you like. The dollar a booking, capped each month, is the whole fee.

Can staff connect their own Google Calendar?

Each invited staff member can sign in and link their personal Google Calendar so bookings show up on their phone. Off by default.

Is there an app for my mechanics?

Yes, and it's the staff side of the shop: schedule, job cards, messages and fleet, with a push notification when a booking lands. On iPhone it's on the App Store, search Velobook. On Android and desktop you install it straight from the browser and it behaves the same, push included. A native Android app is in a closed trial on Google Play; ask us and we'll add you to it. None of this is anything your customers need.

Can staff set their own time off?

Yes. Each staff member can add and remove their own days off from My roster, without waiting on an admin, and managers and admins can still set time off for anyone from the Team tab. If your shop runs on time-based capacity, a day off automatically lowers that day's bookings, and either way velobook won't auto-assign someone new jobs on a day they're off.

In the workshop

12 questions

Do you have job checklists?

Yes. Ready-made templates for Basic service and Full service, plus the M-Check and e-Bike M-Check safety checks. Apply one to a booking in one click and tick items off as you work. Edit the templates, or build your own, under Checklists and safety in the admin.

Can I see a bike's service history?

Yes. Every bike carries its past bookings and service history, so a mechanic can see what was done last visit before picking up a spanner. Customers can see their bike's history too.

How do I keep track of bikes waiting on parts?

Bikes stuck waiting on parts are flagged on the Workboard and in Schedule's Today view, with an aging indicator that shows how long each one has been waiting. The longest-stuck jobs stand out instead of quietly slipping.

Can I manage parts and stock in velobook?

Yes. The Inventory page is a spreadsheet-style table of your parts, accessories, apparel and whole bikes, and it adds what a POS can't see: how much stock is already booked against open jobs, and what's still available. Search and filter by supplier, product type, your own tags, or what's on order, and download the view as CSV. Connect a POS and your counts mirror in and refresh in the background, read-only, so velobook never writes back to it. No POS? Keep the counts in velobook by hand instead, split by location if you run a van, and the same booked-versus-available maths works on them.

Can I order parts and raise purchase orders?

Yes. Record your suppliers (contact, order email, lead time, minimums), then let the Ordering board batch the parts your approved quotes need, bundled by supplier. Draft a purchase order and either send it from velobook or open it in your own email app to send from your address. You can note your own POS or accounting PO number against it so you track a single reference, and velobook pings the mechanic on the job when the parts arrive or when matching stock lands in your POS.

Can I scan barcodes?

Yes. Scan a part with the device camera, or with a plug-in USB or Bluetooth scanner, to drop it onto a quote, count it in against a purchase order, or look it up in Inventory. UPC, EAN, Code 128 and Code 39 all read. If a code isn't recognised the first time, bind it to the product once and it resolves from then on.

Can I add a part to a customer's bill?

Yes. When you add a part to a job, a Chargeable tick adds it to that job's quote at your catalogue price. Leave it off (the default) for warranty, goodwill or shop-stock parts, which stay on the job without billing the customer.

Can I remind a customer their bike is due for a service?

Yes. From a bike's record you can send a service reminder, now or scheduled for a chosen day. It uses your own editable reminder template plus an optional note, and it's honest about delivery: a customer who has unsubscribed shows as not sent rather than pretending it went.

Does every job get a reference number?

Yes. Each booking gets a short code like JOB-0007, assigned automatically and unique to your shop, and purchase orders get a matching PO-0007. It's on the booking's detail and the Ordering board, so staff can find a job fast on the phone or in search. It's a shop-side reference for now, not shown to customers.

What happens when a customer doesn't show up?

Mark the booking as a no-show. velobook keeps a running no-show count on the customer's record, so a pattern is a number rather than a vague memory. No-shows are billed like any confirmed booking because the slot was held; a deposit at booking is the best deterrent.

Does velobook help send jobs to the right mechanic?

Yes. Set what each mechanic can do and prefers per service, and mark the skills a service needs. Auto-assignment then routes a booking to a mechanic who prefers (or can do) that work, while respecting their working days and their maximum bookings per day, so nobody gets pushed over their daily cap. Assigning by hand always stays in your control: if you pick someone who's over their limit or lacks the skill, you get a warning, never a block.

What about walk-ins and phone bookings?

Check them in from the admin in a few taps, so a bike that arrives without an online booking still lands on the Workboard with the rest. There's also a self-serve kiosk mode you can leave on a tablet at the counter for customers to check themselves in.

Reminders and email

4 questions

When do reminders go out?

Two reminders by default: one a week before the appointment, one 24 hours before. The booking confirmation goes out the moment of booking, a "your bike is ready" email goes out when you mark the job ready for pickup, and cancellation and reschedule emails go out the moment the customer hits the button.

Can I write reminders in my own voice?

Yes. Settings has a Hero Copy and reminder copy editor. The subject lines, opening lines, and sign-off are all yours.

Can I use my own sending domain for email?

Not yet, it's on the roadmap. For now emails go out from a velobook sender under your shop's name, and replies reach you either way: on repair bookings they thread back into your velobook Inbox, and on everything else they go straight to the reply-to address you set.

Can velobook send text messages too?

Yes, in a growing list of markets. Text messaging currently sends to Australian, UK, US and Canadian mobile numbers; we're clearing sender approval market by market and the rest follow as each one lands. Where it's available: turn on text messages in Communications and customers with a mobile number get an SMS alongside their email for confirmations, reminders, cancellations and reschedules, plus you can text quote links and message customers straight from a booking. It's full two-way messaging: texts go out from a real Velobook number with a link back to the booking, replies land in your Inbox, and you can text back. Photos can go out to Australian, US and Canadian numbers; UK numbers are text only for now. It's an optional, prepaid extra: you load funds in advance, pricing depends on your market and the message type (the exact rates show in your Communications settings), and sending pauses if your balance runs out. Email confirmations and reminders are included and work everywhere, regardless.

Customer experience

6 questions

How will my customers book?

They click your velobook link, pick a service, pick a time, type their details, confirm. Three questions, about 40 seconds. No account, no app, no password.

Will my customers download an app?

Never. velobook is a web link. Works on any phone, any browser, including a 10-year-old Android. There is a velobook app, but it's the staff side of the shop, not something a customer ever touches.

Can a customer reschedule themselves?

Yes. Every confirmation email contains a manage link. The customer can change the date, change the window, or cancel without calling the shop. The shop is notified for every change.

Can customers track their repair?

Yes. The same manage link shows a live status for the job, so customers can watch it move from booked in, to on the bench, to waiting on parts or your approval, to ready for pickup. It saves the "is it done yet?" phone calls. Reschedule and cancel drop away once the job is under way.

What about repeat customers?

If they opt into a Velobook customer account at booking, their next visit prefills the form. They can also see their service history at every Velobook shop they've used in one place.

Do customers see prices on the booker?

Yes. Each service shows its price (or "from $X") on the picker, add-ons show with their own line price, and the total is shown on the Confirm step. No surprises at pickup.

Payments and money

7 questions

Does velobook take a cut of customer payments?

No. In-shop payments stay on your POS, the way they always have, and if you turn on deposits at booking they're charged through your connected payment provider and settle straight to you. velobook doesn't touch the money and doesn't add a percentage.

Can I take deposits?

Yes. Optional, off by default. Turn deposits on in your payment settings and customers pay when they book; the booking is confirmed once the deposit goes through. Deposits are charged through your connected payment provider and settle straight to you, not to velobook. If you ever need to return one, you refund it from your payment provider's dashboard.

Do customers get sent off to another site to pay?

Only if you want them to. Switch on inline checkout in your Billing settings and the card fields sit right in the booking flow, on Stripe or Square, so the customer finishes on your page. It's off by default, and the hosted checkout page stays there as a fallback. Shops billed through Shopify keep the redirect.

What's the storage fee on the Confirm screen?

Optional. Some shops charge a daily storage fee if customers don't collect their bike within a week. You set the dollar amount and the booker shows the customer the policy at booking time, with an acknowledgement tick.

Can I run discount codes?

Yes. Create percentage or fixed-amount codes and customers enter them in any booking flow: services, workshops, fittings, tours or rentals. Codes never come off travel or delivery fees, so a discount can't eat into what it costs you to reach the customer.

Can I send a customer a quote?

Yes. Build a quote for a job, send it by email or text with an approve-and-pay link, and once the customer accepts it flows straight into a booking. Good for anything where you need to price the work before it's confirmed.

How does the booking fee get charged?

We meter every confirmed booking and charge it monthly via Stripe, up to your monthly cap. There's a billing dashboard in the admin that shows the current period's usage and the next bill in real time. Shops that installed velobook through Shopify are billed through Shopify instead, in their local currency.

Integrations

5 questions

Which integrations do you support?

Live today: Google Calendar and Microsoft 365 / Outlook sync (plus a read-only iCal feed for everything else), Shopify (product and inventory hooks, plus checkout), Stripe and Square for online payments, GoHighLevel for CRM, and Lightspeed (both R-Series and X-Series) and Ascend RMS at the counter. Your POS also feeds the Inventory page, so stock already booked against open jobs shows alongside your live counts. You can drop in your own Google Analytics, Meta Pixel or Google Tag Manager, and switch on automatic Google or Yelp review requests. Xero, QuickBooks, Mailchimp and more are on the roadmap; we ship them in the order shops ask.

How does the calendar sync work?

Connect once from Integrations, under Calendars, and velobook creates a dedicated calendar just for your bookings: new ones appear in real time, cancellations remove them. The sync is one-way, velobook only writes to that calendar, never reads your other events. On Google we can ask for a scope that limits us to calendars we created ourselves; Microsoft has no equivalent, so its consent screen asks for more than Google's does and we say so in the panel rather than let you find out on the prompt. Each invited staff member can also link their own Google or Microsoft calendar so jobs assigned to them show up on their phone.

Can I post bookings to Shopify?

Yes, if you sell parts on Shopify. The Shopify integration lets you tag a booking with parts the customer already bought, and lets parts add-ons in velobook draw from your Shopify inventory.

Where do bookings show up if I don't connect a calendar?

In the admin Bookings tab. You can also subscribe to an iCal feed from velobook (one URL per shop) and read it in any calendar app.

Will you connect to Strava?

It's coming. We've built a Strava connection that lets riders link their account so their mileage can trigger service or chain-wax reminders, and it's waiting on Strava's own approval before we can switch it on. It isn't available to connect yet; we'll turn it on once that clears.

Branding and terminology

6 questions

Can I make the booker match my brand?

Yes. Settings has a colour editor where you set your primary, accent, and background colours. Your logo (or a generated mark) sits in the header. The booker reads like your shop, not a generic template.

Can I choose the font on my booking page?

Yes. Pick a heading font under Booking page from a set of ten curated options (Young Serif is the default). It styles the headings on your booking page only, so your body text stays easy to read and the choice never touches the admin.

Can I use my own domain?

Yes. By default your link is velobook.app/your-slug. Add a custom domain (book.yourshop.com) from Settings, point a CNAME at us, and the booker serves on your domain with auto-renewing TLS.

Can I change "bike" to something else?

Yes. The terminology editor lets you swap a handful of nouns (item, service, class) for the words your trade uses. Set "item" to "watch" if you fix watches; the booker's microcopy follows.

Will it spell things the way my customers do?

Yes. Pick Australian, British or American spelling under Booking page. Australian and British are the same; American turns colour into color, tyre into tire and customise into customize, and defaults the hire wording to "rent". It carries through your customer emails and texts and most of the customer-facing pages.

Can I write my own hero headline on the booker?

Yes. The hero copy editor in Settings lets you set the title, subtitle, and the call-to-action on the booker's first screen.

Your data

6 questions

Is my data mine?

Yes. Bookings across every type, your analytics ledger, quotes, inventory, suppliers and purchase orders all download as CSV from the admin, the day you sign up and the day you leave. If you need something the admin doesn't have a button for yet, a full customer list, say, ask us and we'll get it to you.

Where is my data stored?

On Supabase, hosted in Sydney (ap-southeast-2). Encrypted at rest. We don't sell, share, or train models on your customer data.

What happens to my data if I cancel?

Export what you need as CSV before you go, and email us for anything the admin doesn't export itself. Your records stay available for 30 days after cancellation, then we delete them in line with our Privacy Policy.

Can a customer ask me to delete their record?

Yes. From the customer's profile you can either archive them (hides them from your list, reversible) or erase their personal data. Erasing anonymises their name, contact details and message history and removes their bikes, while keeping past bookings as anonymous records for your shop's financials. Erasing can't be undone.

How long do you keep customer photos?

As long as you choose. Photos attached to a customer's job (workshop photos, and images you message them) are deleted automatically once they reach the age you set, measured from when the job finished so a job's photos expire together. The default is two years, and you can set anything from 3 months to 10 years under Account. Your fleet and catalogue pictures are never affected, and erasing a customer's data still removes their photos straight away.

Can I see reports on my shop?

Yes. The Analytics tab covers revenue, volume, customers, utilisation, health and conversion across every booking type, with ranges up to a full 12 months and comparisons against the previous period. You can export the underlying bookings to CSV from there, and your quotes to CSV from the Quotes tab.

Customer accounts

2 questions

What's a Velobook customer account?

Optional, off by default for the customer. After booking, the customer can choose to save the booking to a Velobook account. The account works at every shop running on Velobook, so the customer sees their service history in one place.

Does that mean my customers are shared?

No. Each customer record belongs to your shop. The customer can opt in to share their history with other shops they book at, but it's their choice. Off by default.

Running more than one shop

3 questions

Do you support multi-location or franchise operators?

Yes. Shops under one brand can be grouped into a network, which gives the parent a read-only roll-up across all of them: combined bookings, a shared fleet view, revenue and per-shop scorecards, plus cross-shop customer history so a rider's visits follow them between locations. Each shop still runs independently underneath, with its own catalogue, staff and billing. Networks are set up with us rather than self-serve, so if you run more than one location, get in touch and we'll provision it.

What can a network do across its shops?

Share customer and bike history between locations, let referral credit earned at one shop be spent at a sibling, move rental bikes between shops, copy a catalogue or push prices and policies out to selected shops, and send a job to be done at another location. It's an aggregation layer over independent shops, not a merge: each shop keeps its own day to day.

Can customers find their nearest location?

Yes. A network gets a public location finder where a customer enters their postcode and is routed to the right shop's booking page. You can link to it or embed it on your own site.

Not a bike shop?

Do you work for businesses that aren't bike shops?

Yes. velobook works for any shop where the work is paced by hands and the customer leaves the thing with you. Watch repair, motorbike workshops, luthiers, cobblers, tailors, framers, jewellers, camera repair. The terminology, slot lengths, and reminder copy are all yours to set.

Why "velobook" if it's not bike-only?

We started in a Sydney bike shop and the name stuck. The mechanics of repair-trade booking are the same whether the thing on the bench is a road bike or a 1962 Omega.

Still wondering something?

Email alex@velobook.app. We usually reply within a few hours during Sydney business hours, and always within one working day.
