Workshops and classes

Class and workshop bookings for bike shops.

Maintenance nights, wheel-building classes, beginner sessions: fixed-time group sessions with a seat cap and a price per attendee, from the same link your customers use for repairs.

Reminders go out on their own. You set the dates and run the session.

What's in the box

Capacity per session

A fixed number of seats. When it fills, the booker stops selling.

Cancellations go straight back on sale

A seat cancelled from the manage link is back on the booker straight away.

Group signups

One customer can sign up several people in one booking.

Automatic reminders

A confirmation at booking, and reminders a week and a day out.

Online payment, settled to you

Take payment at booking through your own Stripe or Square account, or leave it off and take it on the night.

Your spelling, shop-wide

Australian, British or American English, and the texts Velobook sends follow it.

Sell seats from your own site

Paste an embed snippet scoped to workshops on the page where you list your classes. Only the sessions show. It resizes itself, and the background can go transparent.

Off until you need it

Workshops are off by default. The booker shows the category once you publish a session.

How it works

For your customers

  1. 1

    Pick a session

A class and a date from your booking link, for one person or several.

  2. 2

    Pay and get confirmed

Online payment if you've turned it on. The confirmation lands straight away.

  3. 3

    Get reminded

A week and a day before the session.

  4. 4

    Turn up and learn

Can't make it? They cancel from the manage link and the seat goes back on sale.

For the shop

  1. 1

    Create the workshop

A title, a list of dates and times, a seat cap per session, a price per attendee.

  2. 2

    Watch it fill

Seats sell from your booking link. The session stops selling when full, and a cancellation puts the seat back up.

  3. 3

    Run the session

Reminders have gone out, payment is settled or waiting at the counter.

Questions shops ask

How many spots can a class have?

As many as you set. Each session has its own cap, and the booker stops selling when it's reached.

What happens if someone cancels?

The seat goes back on sale straight away, and the cancellation shows on the session in your admin.

Can one person book for a group?

Yes. One booking can cover several people.

What if a paid attendee doesn't show?

The seat was held, so Velobook doesn't refund it on its own. Refund from your payment provider's dashboard if you choose to.

Do classes cost extra to run?

No. A class seat is a booking like any other: a dollar, priced locally, capped at 100 a month. No monthly fee.
