A long day on the bench.

A long shipping day. Confirmations now show your shop address, the booker grew quick-action chips, repair videos got share-friendly URLs, and the staff calendar finally lets you drag-resize bookings.

New

Shop address on every confirmation

Booking confirmations, in-app and in email, now show the optional shop address right next to the date and time. First-time customers stop emailing to ask where to drop their bike off. Set it once in Settings; every confirmation picks it up automatically.

New

Timezone step in onboarding

Picking your shop's timezone is now part of the onboarding Q&A instead of being buried under Settings. Reminder timing and the past-date gate on the booker are correct from the very first booking. No more 6am email reminders because the shop was secretly running in UTC.

Improved

Mobile signup CTA fits the hamburger

The header signup button on mobile no longer crashes into the menu icon on narrow screens. Tiny fix, but it's been bugging us since launch.

New

Quick-action chips on the booker

First slice of the booker redesign. Customers see one-tap chips for the most-booked services up front ("Flat fix", "Full tune-up") so the common path is two taps instead of five. The full service list is still right there below.

New

Repair videos get their own short link

Repair-approval videos now live at velobook.app/v/<token>: slug-less, share-friendly, the same on a custom domain or the canonical host. The token alone authorises the view so customers don't need an account.

New

Conversion dashboard for the booker funnel

A new Conversion tab in admin shows you, per step, where customers drop off. Service picked → time picked → details entered → confirmed. The first time you see it, you'll know which step on your booker needs love.

New

Drag to resize staff bookings

On the staff assignment calendar, every booking now has a drag handle on the bottom edge. Grab it, pull, snap to 15-minute increments. Re-time a job in two seconds without opening the edit drawer.

New

Customer-facing /v/<token> repair video route

The other half of the repair-video story: customers get an email with a link, click, and approve (or query) the work from any phone. The shop sees the approval land in real time. No login, no app, no PDFs.

Improved

Motion booking embed on /book-demo

The CTA on the demo booking embed actually works now, and we added an iframe fallback link for browsers that refuse third-party frames. /book-demo is the path of least resistance for shops who want to see a live booking happen before they sign up.

Improved

Walk-through cards on the landing page move with you

Added scroll-in motion to the walk-through cards so the landing page reads like a step-by-step rather than a wall of features. Subtle, but the cards now land with you instead of greeting you all at once.

Fixed

Mobile calendar defaults to Day view

On phones, the calendar opens to Day view by default instead of Week. Week view on a 6-inch screen was a cute idea but unusable in the workshop. Day view is what shops actually use on the bench.

New

Per-shop km / miles toggle

Shops outside the metric world can now flip mobile-service zones to miles in Settings. Distance picks, zone editor, and the customer-facing copy all follow. Default is whatever your shop's country uses.

Improved

Cleaner customer signup

Removed the share-history checkbox from customer signup. It was a privacy decision the customer didn't have enough context to make at that moment. Sharing is now an opt-in inside the account once they've used the shop.

New

Pretty iCal subscription URLs

Your iCal feed lives at a clean velobook.app/<slug>/calendar.ics URL via a Netlify proxy, instead of the opaque Supabase function URL it used to be. Subscribe once in Apple Calendar, Outlook, or Google and bookings just appear.

New

ToS consent + Comms tab + grouped admin nav

Customers and shop owners both see a clear Terms-of-Service consent line at the right moments. The admin nav got a long-overdue regroup, and there's a new Comms tab where reminder copy and sender details now live together.

Under the hood

  • Funnel-tracking foundation

Booking-funnel tracking through the whole service flow and the Shopify webhook, so we can see exactly where customers drop off. Powers the new Conversion dashboard.

  • Silent write failures stop being silent

Blocked database writes now fail loudly instead of pretending they worked. Plus a sticky banner so super-admins can never forget which shop they're spying on.

  • Onboarding wizard respects org boundaries

Super-admins were occasionally getting bounced into the onboarding wizard for shops that weren't theirs. The shop lookup now checks who's actually asking.

velobook uses essential browser storage to keep you signed in, remember which shop you are working in, and route custom domains. With your permission, we also use Google Analytics to understand how people use velobook. Advertising trackers are always off. Choose what is okay with you.
