Online payment at booking for every shop, not just Shopify ones, plus mobile mechanic networks, prepaid service plans, pop-up clinics, a proper analytics dashboard, and two-factor auth.
New
Take payment at booking, whatever your till
Until today, only shops on Shopify could require payment up front. Now any shop, on Lightspeed, or no POS at all, connects Stripe from Settings and takes a deposit or the full amount when the slot's booked. Money settles directly to your account; Velobook never holds it.
New
Mobile mechanic networks
A network of technicians can now run under one brand: a public directory, routed booking that sends each customer to the right technician for their area, and sub-shops with their own billing under a parent organisation.
New
"On my way" arrival updates
Mobile-service customers get an update when the mechanic is heading their way, so nobody's hovering at the window for a three-hour white-van wait.
New
Pre-booking suitability check
Shops can ask qualifying questions, built on M-Check style templates, before a booking is confirmed, so a job that can't be done on a driveway gets caught at booking time, not on the doorstep.
New
Prepaid service plans
Sell a plan up front and customers redeem its credits against bookings, with reminders when a service falls due. Steady revenue for the shop, one less decision for the customer.
New
Pop-up clinics and designated service days
Run a Saturday clinic at the local trailhead, or only take service bookings on set days of the week. Both are first-class schedule shapes now, not workarounds.
New
An analytics dashboard for your shop
Revenue, booking volume, customers, and shop health in one Analytics section, with the booker conversion funnel folded in as its own tab.
New
Two-factor authentication
Shop owners can switch on authenticator-app two-factor for their login. Opt-in, takes a minute, and your customer list is behind more than a password.
Improved
Settings, regrouped
Settings is now grouped cards instead of one long scroll, account things live on their own Account tab, and billing, online payments, and POS sit together under Payments & POS.
Improved
Custom domains with a live status check
The custom-domain setup now explains the DNS steps properly and checks your domain live, so you can see it go green instead of guessing whether the CNAME took.
Under the hood
Shopify App Store groundwork
OAuth-first install flow, a Shopify Billing rail, and an Admin API version bump: the plumbing for installing Velobook straight from the Shopify App Store.
Public /pricing page + copy pass
Pricing got its own page, a clearer answer on "will the price change?", and a 90-day-notice promise in writing.
velobook uses essential browser storage to keep you signed in, remember which shop you are working in, and route custom domains. With your permission, we also use Google Analytics to understand how people use velobook. Advertising trackers are always off. Choose what is okay with you.
