The rentals side got its biggest rework yet: a public hire flow with sizes, extras, and multi-bike carts, hourly and day-part hire, per-unit QR fleet tracking, ID checks at handover, and delivery you price by the map.
The public rentals booker rebuilt around how a shop actually hires: pick a model and a size, add bike-specific extras, and put several different bikes on one booking, each on its own dates. The review step reads as a single clean hire ticket with a map pin and the bike's own photo.
Hire by the hour or by the morning, not just the day. Daily and weekly rates combine so a longer hire always lands on the cheapest split for the customer, and each item can cap its maximum hire length.
One booking can carry bikes on different modes and dates at once. A mixed booking resolves to shop pickup so nothing falls between two stools, and the whole cart prices honestly on the server.
Every rental bike gets a QR sticker and a fleet number. Scan it to pull up that exact unit, mark it out and back, and always know which frame went where.
Optional licence or passport capture when a bike leaves the counter, held in a locked record that purges on return. Delivery and pickup areas draw on a shared coverage map with tiered travel fees, and a per-item turnaround buffer holds a returned bike offline while it's cleaned and checked.
The rentals section splits into Bikes & extras and Rental settings, so the catalogue and the plumbing stop crowding each other.
A cancel action on the rental job card and a bulk cancel in the Bookings list, both honouring the deposit-refund rules, plus a rental Stages tab that notifies the customer as a hire moves along.
An extra can be offered only for the bike types it actually fits, so a shop stops showing a fat-bike rack option on a road hire.
