Questions to ask at booking

Ask customers questions when they book a service or add-on, show a question only when an earlier answer calls for it, and get answers for each bike on a multi-bike booking.

A service or add-on can ask the customer questions when they book it: the tyre size, whether the bike is electric, a photo of the damage. Add them in the service's edit form under Questions to ask. The answers show on the job card.

Only ask when it matters

Choose Only ask if… under a question to show it only when an earlier answer calls for it. For example, ask for the motor brand only if the answer to "Is it an e-bike?" is yes.

  • The earlier question has to be a pick-from-a-list or a number question. Text and photo questions cannot be used
  • For a list, tick the answers that should show the question. For a number, choose is at least or is at most and a number
  • Rules can chain: if the question it depends on is hidden, this one is hidden too
  • Always ask removes the rule

The customer only sees the question once their earlier answer matches. A hidden question never holds them up, and an answer to a question that becomes hidden is thrown away rather than saved. If you later rename or remove the answers a rule points at, the question is simply always asked.

More than one bike

When a customer books several bikes, each bike is asked the questions for its own services, inside that bike's card. A question shared by two services on the same bike is asked once. If an answer is missing, the message names the bike.

On the job card, the answers are listed under each line of work with its bike, so you can tell whose tyre size is whose. Bookings made before this show one set of answers for the whole booking.
