Your account: sign-in, two-factor and deleting a shop
Change your sign-in email, turn on two-factor with an authenticator app, keep recovery codes, and understand what deleting a shop removes.

The Account tab holds the settings that belong to you rather than to the shop: your sign-in email and two-factor authentication. Who else can sign in is on the Team tab. Shop owners also get a Danger zone at the bottom.
Your sign-in email
- This is the address Velobook uses to reach you, for signing in and admin notifications. Customers never see it
- Choose Change email, enter the new address, and a confirmation link goes to both your current address and the new one. The change only happens once you click both
- If neither email arrives, check spam, then start over with a different address
Turning on two-factor
Two-factor adds a second step at sign-in using an authenticator app such as Google Authenticator, 1Password or Authy. It is off until you switch it on, and belongs to your login rather than the shop.
- 1On the Account tab, find Two-factor authentication and choose Set up.
- 2Scan the QR code with your authenticator app, or type in the key it shows.
- 3Enter the 6-digit code from the app, then choose Turn on two-factor.
- 4Copy the recovery codes and store them somewhere safe.
Velobook stores only a hash of them, so it cannot show them again. Save them the moment they appear, ideally in a password manager. Recovery codes mints a fresh set later; a new set replaces the old one.
Signing in once it is on
- After your password you land on an Enter your code screen and type the current 6-digit code
- Lost your phone? Choose Lost your device? Use a recovery code. Redeeming a recovery code removes two-factor from your account so you can get back in; set it up again from the Account tab
- A Sign out link is on that screen too
- To switch two-factor off deliberately, use Turn off and confirm. Your account goes back to password-only sign-in
The Danger zone
Only a shop's owner sees this. Delete this shop removes the shop and everything in it: bookings, customers, staff, services, photos, integrations and any active subscription. Type your shop's name to confirm, then choose Schedule deletion in 30 days.
Nothing is removed on the day you ask. The shop keeps running through the grace period, and the same panel shows the deletion date with a Cancel deletion button. After that the data is gone with no undo, so export anything you need first.
