Going live: from trial to billing

How the 30-day free trial works and what happens when it ends.

Last updated 29 June 2026

Your first 30 days are free. Bookings come through and behave exactly as they will afterwards, they are simply not billed during the trial window. This article covers what to expect as you cross from trial into normal billing. For the pricing detail, see how Velobook billing works.

During the trial

  • Every feature is on. There is no limited tier, so what you try is what you get.
  • Real bookings come through and real confirmation emails go out. Nothing is in a sandbox.
  • Bookings taken during the trial are not charged.
  • A card is captured at signup so billing can begin automatically when the trial ends, with nothing for you to do.

When the trial ends

After 30 days, per-booking billing starts automatically. From then on each confirmed booking is billed at a small local rate ($1 in Australia, 70c in the US, 50p in the UK, and the like), capped at about $100 a month so a busy month never runs up the bill. There is no separate "upgrade" step and no plan to choose. See what counts as a confirmed booking for exactly what is and is not charged.

Get set up before you go live

Use the trial to finish your shop page, add your services, connect Google Calendar, and add your team. By the time billing starts, everything is ready.

Keeping an eye on it

Your booking count and charges live under the Billing tab. If anything ever looks off, email us and a real person will sort it out.
