Bike fittings

Publish 1:1 fitting appointments with a fitter, a duration, an intake questionnaire and a fit report PDF.

Last updated 2 September 2026

Catalogue → Fittings is for 1:1 fitting appointments customers book at your `/fittings` page. A fitting is one customer with one fitter for a fixed time, so you publish individual slots rather than a capacity. You need at least one active staff member first; the page warns you if you have none.

Set up a fitting

  1. 1Open Catalogue → Fittings and press New fitting. Name it after what you sell, for example "Basic fit" or "Full dynamic fit".
  2. 2Pick a Default fitter, or leave it on Choose later per slot if several people fit.
  3. 3Set the Price and the Duration (minutes). Duration drives the slot length.
  4. 4Set the Free re-fit window (days) if you include a follow-up. 0 means none; 60 to 90 is typical.
  5. 5Fill in What to bring, sent in the confirmation email. Load default instructions gives you a starting point.
  • The re-fit window runs from the appointment date and shows on the booking page as an N-day free re-fit badge
  • For a part payment, tick Require a deposit at booking and set a Deposit amount; blank makes the full price the agreed figure. The customer sees the deposit and the balance on their summary and confirmation
Fitting deposits are settled in person

The fitting booking flow does not take a card. The deposit is recorded on the booking and shown as "paid in shop", with the balance beside it; you collect both at the appointment. Workshops, tours and events can charge online; fittings cannot. See deposits and payments at booking.

Publishing slots

  • Open a fitting and use the Slots tab. Add slot takes a date, a start time and a fitter; the end time comes from the duration
  • Repeat weekly for *n* more weeks publishes a run in one go
  • Rows read Open, Booked with the customer's name, or Cancelled. An open slot can be deleted; a booked one has no delete control
  • Fittings run on published slots, so they do not draw on your general service capacity (booking capacity)

The intake questionnaire

  • The Questionnaire tab builds the form customers fill in when they book
  • Each question has a label, optional help text, a required toggle, and a type: Short text, Long text, Number, Pick one, Pick many, Yes / No or Date. Choice questions take one option per line
  • Every question sits in a section, About you or About your bike + this fit, which decides where in the booking flow it appears
  • Load defaults swaps the whole set for a starter questionnaire. Answers on past bookings are untouched
  • Expand a booked slot to read that customer's answers under Intake answers

The fit report

  • An expanded booked slot carries a Fit report panel. Upload PDF attaches one PDF of up to 25 MB; Replace PDF swaps it later
  • Uploading emails the customer that their report is ready
  • The panel shows the filename, its size, when it was uploaded, and whether the customer has been emailed
  • The slot's row adds report uploaded once one is attached
