Catalogue Copilot for Shopify

Audit your Shopify product copy, build drafts with checked specs, review them against what is live, and apply only what you approve.

Last updated 2 September 2026

Catalogue Copilot writes and fixes the product copy in your Shopify store. It lives under Products, is marked beta, and is a desktop screen. It needs Shopify connected under Payments & POS first. Three stacked cards: run an audit, build drafts, then review and apply.

Set it up

  • Tick Enable Catalogue Copilot
  • Dry-run mode is on by default. Keep it on until you have read a few results: applying then writes to the change log without touching your live store
  • Under Local copy, add your suburb and city to have them added to each product's body and meta. Leave blank to skip

Audit, then build drafts

  1. 1Choose Run audit. It scans your catalogue for thin copy and missing meta.
  2. 2Read the result: Products, Thin, Missing meta and Blocked counts for the latest run.
  3. 3Choose Build drafts to line up the products that need work.
  4. 4Drafting takes about a minute per product. You can leave the page.
  • A draft covers the SEO title, the meta description and the body
  • Every spec claim is checked against sources first. High-stakes claims, where a wrong groupset or frame material would be a real problem, block the draft until a human resolves them
Starting from a list instead

Build from scratch goes the other way: paste one product per line, or upload a CSV, PDF price sheet or photo. Same accuracy gate, and on approval each is created as a Draft product in Shopify. Nothing goes live until you publish it in Shopify.

The review queue

  • Drafts filter into Blocked, Ready and Approved
  • Open one for a side-by-side diff: Live now on the left, Proposed on the right, across SEO title, meta and body
  • Specs below lists one row per claim: verified, unverified or conflicting, whether it is high stakes, the proposed value, and the sources with a tier, a quote and a link
  • A claim that needs you offers Accept A, Accept B, Enter manually or Mark N/A. When the last block clears, the draft flips to Ready and Approve appears
Approving is not publishing

Approve moves a draft into the approved pile. Your store is untouched until you use Apply approved on the bottom card, and while Dry-run mode is on even that writes nothing.

Apply, and the change log

  • The bottom card shows how many drafts are approved and waiting, with Apply approved (labelled Apply approved (dry-run) while Dry-run mode is on) and a banner whenever Dry-run mode is on
  • After a run you get a count of applied and skipped
  • The change log lists every attempt, newest first: product, action, succeeded, failed or Dry-run, how long ago, and which fields were written
  • A live, successful apply carries a Revert button, which puts the previous copy back
