Workshop classes and capacity
Run classes with a fixed number of spots, a waitlist, and automatic reminders.

Workshop classes are bookings with a capacity: a maintenance night, a wheel-building class, a beginner's session. Customers book a spot, the class fills, and Velobook handles reminders and the waitlist so you can just run the session.
Create a class
- 1Open Catalogue → Workshops and add a class.
- 2Set the date and time and the capacity per session.
- 3Optionally set a price to take payment at booking. See taking payments at booking.
- 4Save and share the link, or let customers find it on your shop page.
Capacity and the waitlist
- Spots count down as customers book. When the class is full, it stops taking bookings.
- Customers can join a waitlist once a class is full.
- If a spot frees up, you can promote someone from the waitlist with one click from the session view, which notifies them.
Reminders
Everyone booked into a class gets automatic reminders before it runs (a week before and 24 hours before), which cuts no-shows. See reminders: email and SMS for what goes out and when.
If a customer paid for a spot and does not show, the spot was held for them, so Velobook does not automatically refund it. A cancellation that frees the spot lets the next person on the waitlist take it.
