Network billing and the referral share

A network parent's Billing tab starts as the normal Billing page for the parent account, then adds the network layer: who pays for the shops, this period's usage per shop, each shop's subscription, and the referral share.

Who pays for the shops

• Each shop pays its own: every shop bills on its own card, capped at 100 bookings a month on its own. Suits a franchise.
• I pay for every shop: every shop's bookings are charged to the parent's card. Suits a business that owns its locations. Available once the parent has a payment method saved.

One cap for the whole network

• Under I pay for every shop, billable bookings across all shops count against a single cap of 100 a month for the whole network. Past it, the rest of the month is free for every shop
• Shops added later are covered automatically
• Usage this period, by shop shows each shop's billable bookings, the same count as that shop's own Billing tab, with an approximate cost beside each

Shop subscriptions

• Shop subscriptions lists each shop's own subscription and its state
• Switching to parent-pays does not delete them; the charges come to you and each subscription is left in place
• If a shop still has a card attached that you no longer want charged, cancel that subscription from the shop's own Billing tab

Referral share

• A network parent earns a share of Velobook's per-booking fee on bookings made through its sub-shops: 10% unless we have agreed a different rate. The Referral share card names your percentage
• It accrues monthly, as a ledger per currency: Month, Events, Fee base and Your share. A network on a 0% share does not see the card
• Export CSV downloads the per-event ledger, one line per booking with the fee, the percentage and your share
• Payouts are manual: the exported ledger is the source of truth, and we settle with you directly

The network's texting balance

Texting money is separate. The parent holds the prepaid balance its sub-shops spend, under Messaging → Funds in the parent's sidebar, the only place the network's auto top-up and monthly spending cap can be set. Message pricing is in how billing works.
