Connecting Google Calendar

One-way sync: Velobook writes your bookings into a dedicated Google calendar automatically.

Last updated 29 June 2026

Connect Google Calendar and Velobook writes each booking into a calendar it creates just for this, so your bookings show up in the calendar you already live in. The sync is one-way: Velobook keeps that calendar up to date, but it never reads your other Google events.

You connect Google Calendar from Integrations → Calendars. You will need to be signed in to the Google account you want to use.

Connect your calendar

  1. 1Open Integrations → Calendars in the admin.
  2. 2Find Google Calendar and choose Connect.
  3. 3Sign in to Google and grant access when prompted.
  4. 4That is it. Velobook creates a dedicated calendar named "Velobook bookings" and starts writing new bookings to it straight away.
It is already its own calendar

Because Velobook writes to a dedicated "Velobook bookings" calendar, you can colour it, share it with staff, or hide it in Google like any other calendar, without it tangling up your personal events.

What syncs, and what does not

  • A new Velobook booking creates an event on the Velobook bookings calendar.
  • Rescheduling or cancelling in Velobook updates or removes the matching event.
  • Edits you make to a synced event inside Google are not pushed back into the booking. Treat Velobook as the source of truth for booking details.
  • Velobook does not read your other Google events, so blocking time in Google does not change your Velobook availability. Set availability in Velobook itself.

Prefer a read-only feed?

If you would rather subscribe from a different calendar app, a per-shop iCal feed does the same job for Apple Calendar, Outlook, or anything that takes a subscription URL.

Disconnecting

Open Integrations → Calendars and choose Disconnect at any time. Existing events stay in your calendar; new bookings simply stop syncing until you reconnect.
