Connecting Google Calendar
One way: Velobook writes your bookings into a dedicated Google calendar automatically.
Last updated 2 September 2026
Connect Google Calendar and Velobook writes each booking into a calendar it creates for this. It is one-way: Velobook keeps that calendar up to date and never reads your other Google events.
Connect from Integrations → Calendars, signed in to the Google account you want to use.
Connect your calendar
- 1Open Integrations → Calendars in the admin.
- 2Find Google Calendar and choose Connect.
- 3Sign in to Google and grant access.
- 4Velobook creates a calendar named "Velobook bookings", writes new bookings to it straight away, and adds the upcoming jobs already on your books.
Colour it, share it with staff, or hide it in Google like any other calendar. Your personal events stay separate.
What syncs, and what does not
- A new Velobook booking creates an event on the Velobook bookings calendar.
- Rescheduling or cancelling in Velobook updates or removes the matching event.
- Edits you make to an event inside Google are not sent back. Velobook is the source of truth for booking details.
- Velobook does not read your other Google events, so blocking time in Google does not change your availability. Set availability in Velobook.
- Disconnecting and reconnecting later reuses the same Velobook bookings calendar.
If jobs are missing
- The panel warns you when upcoming jobs are not on the calendar, and Send missing jobs sends them. It reports how many it added, or that everything upcoming is already there
- If it says the connection was made before the calendar was set up properly, disconnect and connect again. Your bookings are safe either way
A mechanic's own calendar
- The card under Integrations is the shop-wide one and takes every booking
- Individual staff can connect their own Google account from Front desk → My calendar, on the My Google calendar card. That one carries only the jobs assigned to that person, into a Velobook bookings calendar in their own account. Only they can connect or disconnect it
- The card only appears for people with a staff record in the shop
Prefer a read-only feed?
A per-shop iCal feed does the same job for Apple Calendar, Outlook, or anything that takes a subscription URL.
Disconnecting
Open Integrations → Calendars and choose Disconnect. Existing events stay in your calendar; new bookings stop arriving until you reconnect.
