Hire from your Shopify product pages
Build your hire fleet from your Shopify products, then put a one-bike booking widget on each product page. One basket follows the customer from page to page.

Two halves: importing your hire fleet from Shopify, and putting a small booking widget on each product page. The import needs your Shopify connection; the widget is part of the website embed and works on any site.
Import your hire fleet from Shopify
The Build your fleet from Shopify card sits in the Shopify panel under Integrations → Payments & POS, once your store is connected. Nothing is created until you press Import.
- 1Pick a collection (or Every product), search by name if needed, and choose Find products.
- 2Check the rates. Tick Use the Shopify price as the daily hire rate only if the price on those products is a per-day price; on a product you sell, importing it would list a bike at hundreds a day.
- 3Untick anything that should not come in, fix names and rates in the list, then press Import. It counts what it is about to create, down to the number of bikes.
Products with no SKU in Shopify cannot be told apart between runs, so importing twice brings them in twice; products with SKUs are safe to re-import. A model imported without a rate cannot be hired until you price it in the Rentals tab. The panel flags both before the import.
One bike on each product page
- Your normal Rent embed shows the whole catalogue. For one bike, take the Rent snippet from the Website embed panel and add `data-item="<the bike's id>"`. The frame then shows that bike's dates, sizes and prices
- To find a bike's id, open it in your Rentals tab: the address bar ends with `item=` followed by the id
Dates once, one basket across pages
- The customer picks dates on the first product page they visit, and the widget shows what is free for those dates
- As they move to other product pages, the dates and the basket follow, so they book the lot as one hire booking
The cross-page basket is kept by the one-line snippet itself, on your page's side. If your site still runs an older, dozen-line snippet, replace it with the current one, or the basket can empty itself as the customer changes pages.
