Point of sale: Shopify, Lightspeed and Ascend

If you run a point of sale, completed jobs flow into it so payment and reporting stay in one place, and your stock levels feed Velobook's Inventory.

If you run a point of sale, Velobook can push completed jobs into it so the sale lands where your reporting and payments already live. Velobook supports Shopify, Lightspeed (both R-Series and X-Series), and Ascend RMS, and the money always settles directly to you.

Shopify

  • A completed job is pushed to Shopify as an Order, marked paid if the customer already paid online, or pending so you collect at the counter at pickup.
  • Your existing Shopify products, tax, and reporting stay the system of record for the sale.
  • Payment taken at booking runs through Stripe (see below); Shopify receives the resulting order.

You install the Velobook app from the Shopify App Store, then manage the connection under Integrations → Payments & POS.

Lightspeed

Velobook supports both Lightspeed X-Series and Lightspeed R-Series. On either, a completed job lands as a parked sale on the till, ready for your staff to open and ring up when the customer collects. You connect Lightspeed from Integrations → Payments & POS.

Ascend RMS

Velobook also connects to Ascend RMS: a completed job is submitted as a websale to your Ascend location, and your Ascend stock feeds Velobook's Inventory. Connect it from Integrations → Payments & POS.

Your stock feeds Inventory

Whichever POS you connect, its live stock levels flow into Velobook's Inventory so you can see what is free after open jobs. Velobook reads your stock and never writes back to your POS.

No POS? You do not need one. Velobook works on its own, and you can still take card payments at booking through Stripe. See taking payments at booking.
